Rocío & Antonio

Rocío and Antonio married at Hacienda de Xenís, in Chucena, about 35 km from the centre of Seville. The ceremony was a church ceremony at six in the evening, in the estate’s own sixteenth-century chapel, with its gilded altar and a chandelier, and the celebration was in the gardens, with 350 guests.

Rocío and her family got ready on the estate and we arrived two hours before the ceremony. Afterwards the two of them slipped away along the dirt tracks between the trees and the fields of dry grass, her veil in the air: that is where most of these frames were taken.

Seville is our base and Xenís is close enough to be part of it: countryside on the border between the provinces of Seville and Huelva, with a chapel of its own and a garden where the tables were set under the trees.
