Convento de Santa Clara

Moguer, Huelva

The convent in Moguer, in the province of Huelva, where Patri and Juanma held their ceremony in July 2024, with Father Antonio Romero Padilla. The celebration followed at El Ranchito, in El Rocío.

Founded in 1337 for Poor Clare nuns, it is Gothic-Mudéjar and keeps the memory of the Columbus vow: on their return from the first voyage, Columbus and the other sailors from Moguer spent the first night in its church, keeping the promise they had made at sea during a storm.
